Small nonprofits get break from filing Form 990

Posted on: 01/18/2011

The IRS has increased the amount of revenue a small nonprofit can receive without needing to file a Form 990 or Form 990EZ.

Starting with calendar year 2010, Revenue Procedure 2011-15 allows organizations with annual revenue less than $50,000 to file the Form 990N postcard return.  This is double the $25,000 limit that was in place prior to 2010.

If you have questions about filing any of the Form 990 series, Peterson Sullivan LLP has the expertise to assist your organization. Please contact us at 206-382-7777 with any questions or concerns
