Ray Holmdahl, Partner at Peterson Sullivan LLP, accepted the appointment to serve as chair of the Washington Society of Certified Public Accountants (WSCPA) Peer Review Executive Committee on July 21, 2010.
The Peer Review Program was established by The American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) to increase the quality of accounting, auditing, and attestation services provided by public accountants. One of the most respected quality control programs in the industry, the Peer Review Program ensures that participating accounting firms are operating at the highest possible quality control standards.
As chair of the WSCPA Peer Review Executive Committee, Holmdahl will oversee all of Washington State’s peer review deliberations and findings. He volunteers a significant amount of time to the Committee and will be instrumental in the continued adherence to the AICPA’s Standards for Performing and Reporting on Peer Reviews.
Holmdahl has extensive experience examining quality control standards through his work at Peterson Sullivan LLP. He works with clients in a variety of industries, including nonprofit organizations, real estate, investment companies, and governmental entities. He is a volunteer reviewer on the United Way of King County Audit Review Committee and he also serves on the Finance and Audit Committees of Wellspring Family Services, a local nonprofit. Holmdahl is head of the Firm’s Audit Department and also serves as Peterson Sullivan’s quality control partner.
